Don’t you hate it when your stuff breaks?
Don’t you especially hate it when no one makes the parts anymore, or it costs more to fix than to buy a new one?
Wouldn’t it be nice if you could bring it somewhere and someone could help you fix it—for free?
There is a solution: Introducing, the REPAIR CAFE!
A repair café is an event where people bring their broken gadgets – like household electrical and mechanical devices, computers, bicycles, and clothing – and learn to fix them with the help of volunteers. Repair cafés are usually held as a regular event at a fixed location where tools are available.
Repair your gadgets, save money, reduce waste, learn skills and meet neighbours—it’s a win, win, win!
We’re hosting a mini Repair Cafe with our friends from BRIM (Building Resilience in Mission) on July 6th, 10am-2pm on our front porch so come down and check it out!
P.S. Can’t make it- but think it’s a cool idea—share this with your friends and spread the word!
