DESCRIPTION:Don’t you hate it when your stuff breaks? \nDon’t you especially hate it when no one makes the parts anymore\, or it costs more to fix than to buy a new one? \nWouldn’t it be nice if you could bring it somewhere and someone could help you fix it—for free? \nThere is a solution: Introducing\, the REPAIR CAFE!\n \nA repair café is an event where people bring their broken gadgets – like household electrical and mechanical devices\, computers\, bicycles\, and clothing – and learn to fix them with the help of volunteers. Repair cafés are usually held as a regular event at a fixed location where tools are available. \nRepair your gadgets\, save money\, reduce waste\, learn skills and meet neighbours—it’s a win\, win\, win! \nWe’re hosting a mini Repair Cafe with our friends from BRIM (Building Resilience in Mission) on July 6th\, 10am-2pm on our front porch so come down and check it out! \nP.S. This year\, the two honourees are Mission firefight\, Tara Griffith\, and arts advocate\, Bronwen Sutherland.\n\nA little bit of theatre…\n\nA special theatrical presentation to mark the 100th anniversary of limited female suffrage in Canada. \n\nSilent Auction\nWe’ll have some amazing goodies up for grabs!
